Industry Affiliations

Since its inception in 1995, The U.K. Trades Confederation has made a number of key Industry Affiliations, and has sought to set and maintain high standards of working practice and procedures.

We are proud of our associations and strive to maintain the standards which foster good relationships with these prestigious bodies.

Some of our associates are:

  FENSA

 Trading Standards Approved Scheme

 Streamline

 ISO 9001 Accreditation

Elecsa Elecsa

Certass Certass

NICEIC NICEIC

QANW Quality Assured National Warranties

FENSA

In excess of 2,000 UKTC members specialising in double-glazing have registered for FENSA through our activities.  The ability for members to self-certificate their work, rather than place every installation through Building Control can save a company time and perhaps thousands of pounds too.  If you have been putting it off because the paperwork seems daunting, let us guide you through. Trading Standards Approved Scheme

Rogue traders actively target the vulnerable.  But one county has decided to fight back!  Bedfordshire County Council launched the Trading Standards Approved scheme in November 2002, and included in their vetting criteria is a criminal record check.

In July 2003, the Council joined forces with UKTC, who will be recruiting members on its behalf.  The ability to display Trading Standards Approved on company literature and advertising will give a company a superb marketing edge over its competitors.  And at the same time, help provide consumers with the knowledge that they are dealing with a reputable firm.

Streamline

Merchant Service rates have been negotiated through RBS Streamline, and can offer a significant reduction to companies that accept credit and debit cards.  The advent of chip and pin will see many terminals changed to reflect the new technology, and RBS are right at the forefront of these important changes.

UKTC has also been given an exclusive opportunity to provide mobile terminals to new industry sectors. Click here  for more information.

ISO 9001 Accreditation

The U.K. Trades Confederation became an ISO accredited company in November 2001, with quality administration systems applying to the promotion, protection and cost reduction of new, existing and potential members.

Quality Assured National Warranties

Quality Assured National Warranties was established in 1994. There aim was to provide the highest quality of Insurance Backed Warranty in terms of both cover and cost. They have achieved their aim and can today boast the widest insurance cover available on the British insurance market. This fact coupled with the most competitive premium makes Q.A National Warranties the premier insurance warranty provider in the U.K.
